Next-Generation Military Fla t-Panel (ESA) Satell ite AntennaS

Modern warfare is no longer defined by firepower but by the speed and reliability of information exchange. Command, control, real-time video, and reconnaissance data must remain seamlessly connected to ensure mission success.

To meet these tactical demands, Global Konet (GK) has developed advanced Electronically Steered Array (ESA) satellite antennas powered by the company’s proprietary MMIC-based beamforming technology. Designed for land, maritime, and airborne platforms, GK’s ESA antennas steer beams electronically without any mechanical motion, achieving a unique balance of lightweight design, high gain, and ultra-fast tracking performance.

These innovations are redefining the military satellite communication standards for Communications-On-The-Move (COTM) and UAV SATCOM systems. GK is on track to achieve MIL-STD-810G, MIL-STD-461, AS9100, and ESG certifications by early 2026.

K-Flip (Ka-band) is a foldable, field-deployable ESA terminal designed for tactical units and mobile troops. It enables real-time GEO satellite communication with high throughput and low power consumption. The integrated battery within the compact panel design allows operation in remote or mountainous areas. Despite its portability, it delivers EIRP ≥ 46.4 dBW and G/T ≥ 10.1 dB/K, weighing only 21 kg for true manpack mobility.

Nabi (Ku-band) is a lightweight portable ESA terminal optimized for field operations. It maintains stable links under terrain masking and interference through domestic Ku-band GEO networks. With fast tracking, durable solid-state construction, and an IP66 weatherproof rating, Nabi provides EIRP ≥ 44.2 dBW, G/T ≥ 10.1 dB/K, and weighs just 18 kg, ensuring reliable performance in any outdoor environment.

Omega2 (Ka-band) is a high-power ESA antenna engineered for command vehicles and naval platforms. Supporting COTM through OpenAMIP-based GEO satellite links, Omega2 features IP66-grade sealing and automatic polarization control, providing robust and secure connectivity in harsh maritime and field conditions.

The Alpha2 Series (Ku-band) includes:

Alpha2 for medium-size tactical vehicles and command posts

Alpha2 Jumbo for large vessels and high-gain communication vehicles, and
Alpha2 Mini for small vehicles and temporary field stations.

All models are designed to meet MIL-STD-810 standards for vibration, shock, and thermal resilience. With integrated VSAT modems and OpenAMIP protocol, Alpha2 ensures real-time satellite handover and beam switching during high-speed motion.

FLA50 (L-band) is an ESA antenna developed for disaster-response and military IoT networks, featuring circular polarization and 5-watt low-power operation. It maintains reliability even under rain-fade conditions, making it ideal for compact C2 terminals, maritime safety networks, and satellite backup channels.

The Next-Generation Drone
Communication Platform builds upon GU24 and GA24 technologies. In collaboration with LOS communication partners, GK is developing an AI-based hybrid platform that supports LOS transmission within 200 km and encrypted SATCOM links over several thousand kilometers. This system will enable autonomous multi-network operation for future UAV missions.
